Avocado

Avocado is one of the fruits found in the Philippines.These fruits are known to be rich in nutrients like, vitamin A, vitamin C, vitamin B6, vitamin E, vitamin K, folate, copper, potassium, calcium and magnesium. It is also a good source of dietary fiber. Unlike other fruits, avocados have high fat content, which accounts for around 70% to 80% of its total calories. It lowers your bad cholesterol. Avocado is high in fat, carbohydrate and cholesterol but they are all good for you. Avocado has good cholesterol. The fat content in avocado is mono-unsaturated fat that actually help you lower your bad cholesterol. Avocado contains more of the cholesterol-smashing beta-sitosterol (a beneficial plant-based fat) than any other fruit. Beta-sitosterol reduces the amount of cholesterol absorbed from food. The combination of beta-sitosterol and monounsaturated fat makes the avocado an excellent cholesterol buster. and avocado is a good source of potassium, and mineral that helps regulate blood pressure.
